Listening to feedback from our stakeholders has been a key factor in the development and design of the Project.
As we approach the submission of our Development Consent Order (DCO) application next year, we continue to engage with our stakeholders to make sure we fully understand any relevant issues to refine the Project. Following feedback from our Spring 2025 Consultation and ongoing engagement with affected landowners, we are running a targeted consultation on eight further design refinements. The design refinements are minor, localised in nature and are principally aimed at reducing potential impacts on affected landowners. The changes largely relate to reductions and amendments to the draft Order Limits (i.e. red line boundary) to accommodate small adjustments to the pipeline route.
Only those with a direct land or property interest associated with the changes, or those living close by, will be consulted. This targeted consultation takes place during September and October. We will continue to engage with landowners, local authorities and relevant environmental bodies as the Project is refined.
As a result of this further consultation and engagement, we are now expecting to submit our DCO application in Spring 2026. This will allow more time to improve the Project and further reduce its impacts on local communities.
The feedback from this targeted consultation, along with feedback from our previous Project consultations, will be presented and responded to in our upcoming Consultation Report that will be submitted as part of our DCO Application next year.
